… supporting our early education teacher corps in higher learning and credentialing …
Smart Start of Forsyth County provides financial assistance to qualified teachers and students enrolled in early education programs. Scholarships help underwrite the expansion and deepening of the educational and credentialing levels among early childhood educators, and center and home directors.
Scholarships for tuition and books are provided at:
- Forsyth Technical Community College,
- Guilford Technical Community College,
- Salem College,
- University of North Carolina at Greensboro, and
- Winston-Salem State University.
Scholarships are available for students working in an early childhood program in Forsyth County at least 20 hours per week, and enrolled in one of the schools above.
Scholarships are offered during the fall, spring, and if funds are available, summer semesters.
Scholarships are not available to students already receiving another scholarship.
