Job Overview: A law firm specializing in environmental and land use law is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to join their team in San Francisco. The role involves handling a variety of regulatory, administrative, transactional, and litigation matters related to land development and environmental issues.
Duties:
Conduct legal research and provide analysis on environmental and land use laws and regulations.
Draft and negotiate contracts, agreements, permits, and other legal documents related to land development and environmental compliance.
Represent clients in administrative proceedings and litigation involving land use issues, including CEQA and NEPA matters.
Advise clients on compliance with environmental and air, water, and energy regulations.
Assist with real estate transactions, including due diligence and title review.
Requirements:
Minimum of 5+ years of experience practicing law with a focus on land use or environmental matters.
Strong background in regulatory compliance and environmental law.
Experience with land use litigation, particularly writ of mandate proceedings, is preferred.
Knowledge of public lands issues and mining regulations is a plus.
Admission to the State Bar of California in good standing.
Excellent academic credentials from an accredited law school.
Education and Certifications:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
Admission to the State Bar of California.
