Pay : $200-350K/year + Bonus (up to $150K)

Location : Birmingham, AL, Nashville, TN, Mobile, AL, or Ridgeland, MI

Summary

A high-growth technology partner providing fiber-based connectivity and telephony, managed IT, cloud, and professional services to small to large business and SLED clients. The company is a Channel Partner for industry-leading OEM partners such as Cisco and Dell, providing solutions architecture, design, and implementation.

The VP, Sales is responsible for exceeding sales targets across the business portfolio while maximizing market share, wallet share, and profitability, and ensuring a culture of unmatched customer focus and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize market analysis to develop strategies to exceed sales targets across a portfolio of connectivity, telephony, managed services, infrastructure, and professional services.
  • Work with sales leaders on sales planning, including updates to quotas and compensation plans, headcount, and sales plans. Ensure compensation plans are aligned with compensation philosophy and organization goals, including company margin.
  • Design, implement, and manage sales processes, establishing a high level of quality, accuracy, and process consistency. Proactively identify opportunities for sales process improvement; work closely with sales management to inspect sales process quality and prioritize opportunities for improvement.
  • Recruit and retain high-level, highly productive talent and manage sales teams, motivating the team to achieve goals, and create and manage sales training programs.
  • Drive data-driven market development and sales enablement. Work with the marketing department to position services in the market.
  • Own the creation, accuracy, and efficient distribution of sales metrics, reports, and other sales-related business intelligence essential to the organization.
  • Communicate and foster relationships with clients, monitoring customer activity and satisfaction.
  • Create and maintain strong management and executive relationships with manufacturers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Proven sales leader with a minimum of 10 years’ experience in IT sales required.
  • Ability to collaborate across multiple internal and external partners.
  • High-level experience with channel and OEM partners (Cisco, Dell Technologies, VMware).
  • Proven expertise in sales automation tools, metrics, process, and productivity.
  • Strong experience partnering with sales leadership to achieve sales goals.
  • Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented, team environment.
  • Strong work ethic and passion for excellence.
  • History of successful business execution.
  • Operates with the highest level of professionalism, personal integrity, and accountability.
