If so, HowToGeek.com is looking for a Gaming Editor to join our team! This role involves both writing and editorial leadership. You’ll guide a small team of writers, manage editorial workflows, and make sure the section consistently publishes timely, high-quality, and engaging gaming content.How-To Geek is an online technology publication with tens of millions of readers each month. Our readers love How-To Geek because of its unique voice.

We’re the people you turn to when your computer isn’t working right, you need to do something technical, or you want to understand the latest gadgets, and which are the best ones to buy. We explain it all in simple, approachable terms. How-To Geek is for everyone. What We’re Looking For:Write and publish articles across a mix of formats, news briefs, deep dives, guides, and tips. Some may include original screenshots or photography.
Lead your section's team of freelance and self-publishing writers, assigning stories, reviewing pitches, and giving clear editorial guidance.
Edit submitted articles for accuracy, readability, tone, and alignment with our style guide.
Maintain a strong editorial workflow: review deadlines, manage daily/monthly content flow, and ensure a balanced mix of article types.
Monitor section performance using analytics tools and adjust strategy to support growth and engagement goals.
Collaborate in weekly editorial meetings, contribute ideas, and stay aligned with the broader content strategy.
Deep understanding of the gaming industry: from consoles and PC to mobile and emerging platforms.
