Forsyth County and the City of Winston-Salem have awarded Smart Start of Forsyth County with two American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) awards and to manage the initiatives funded by these awards, as well as others, Smart Start of Forsyth County created the Pre-K Initiatives department. 

Pre-K Initiatives works to support the improvement of equitable measures in the early childhood landscape of Forsyth County through collaboration with local partners.
