Books Are Coming to Our Community – And We’re Celebrating!

We get it. Finding quality books for your children shouldn’t be complicated or expensive. That’s why Smart Start of Forsyth County is thrilled to announce our newest literacy initiative: Book Vending Machines that will make free, age-appropriate books accessible right in our community.

Join us for the official ribbon cutting ceremony on Friday, September 26th from 10:00-11:00 AM at our main office (7820 North Point Blvd #200, Winston-Salem, NC 27106).

What This Means for Forsyth County Families:

With Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library currently at capacity for new registrations, our book vending machines provide an immediate, accessible solution for families seeking quality early literacy resources. These machines will offer carefully selected books for children ages 0-5, available 24/7 at no cost to families.

Event Highlights:

• 10:00-10:20 AM: Welcome with coffee and refreshments
• 10:20-10:45 AM: Community speakers sharing the vision and impact
• 10:45-11:00 AM: Official ribbon cutting and first book selections

This initiative represents the collaborative spirit that defines Smart Start of Forsyth County. We’re bringing together county officials, community partners, local media, and most importantly – the families we serve – to celebrate expanded access to early childhood literacy resources.
